The other day there was something stuck in the woods by the embankment. I assumed it was a plastic bag, that's what it looked like billowing in the breeze, hooked onto some scrub trees. I went up to grab it. Plastic bags in the trees are a pet peeve of mine, I hate them. Well, as it turned out it was not a bag, but a paper 'balloon', the kind you sometimes see at festivals that mimic hot air balloons. It was in good shape, with only a few small tears. There was no evidence of the candle or how it was held in, only some wires that crossed the bottom opening. Its pretty big when it fills with air, like a 30 gal. garbage bag, only pretty. I wonder where it drifted in from? I'm also horrified about these things, as they are perfect for starting forest fires. Sheesh. But they are cool...
