So I want to add a new blog to my list of blogs, or even to my feeds, and because LJ has changed everything around, I have no idea now how to do that. So frustrating. Thanks for making it all so much simpler LJ.
Today we went to a cook out at one of Ryther's co-workers. He rents a house right on the water in Plymouth. We went there last winter for his open house. I'm terrified it's going to drop into the sea on a good storm, but they don't seem concerned. lol Call me over cautious. Anyway, it's a great view, and althought the water was too cold and choppy for any swimming, and it wasnt really hot either, it was still fun to beach comb and sit and chat and eat and get bear hugs. Himself sat and read the whole time. He did go down to the beach for a bit when we first got there, but other than that was totoally anti social, even though there was a kid his age there. Ho hum.
Well, I am down a total of 12.8 lbs. If I can keep getting on my bike I think I can actually do a lot better. With my luck now that the heat is subsiding a bit, it's going to be raining instead! I did ride to another nearby cemetery yesterday, and realized I am within biking distance of 4 cemeteries at least. So that's my goal now, to get out and do some FAG work from my bike. Although the last time I did that, the sun was going down and it's hard to see the stones because the sun is in my eyes. lol
I also picked up a used piece of exersize equipment for free. It's totally lame, because it only works one muscle group, your inner thigh muscle. It's called Leg Magic. The DVD that comes with it is a joke. But hey, I've actually gotten better on it, so it's working a muscle group that wasnt working before..... Better one than nothing. I'll be cracking nuts with my thighs soon. (take that as you will) lol
In other news, I took the old lady cat to the vet because she was having trouble eating. The vet took some crap off her teeth but that doesn't seem to have solved the problem. She def. has kidney disease, and there isn't much to do about that. It's just a matter of time now. Palative care I guess they call it. All the tuna you can eat I say. He was actually pretty impressed with her considering her age. She's lost weight but she still had lots of fight in her for hte vet tec. Not a happy camper.
I did get my dryer, if I didn't mention that. I got a call from the plumber on Friday and he said he could be there in an hour. I said fine. It's in. I haven't used it yet. There is a rack for shoes which is great. I've never had one before, always had to use the oven to dry shoes in the winter. This is a plus. On the down side, I still need to get a plumber to fix the tiny gas leak I have down there. Really need to get that done before he window is shut for the summer in the cellar.
