"Thank god for medication programs for low income folks like myself. I only pay 15$ a month for my Lamictal, when out of pocket it would be 300$ a month. The Trazadone, the one medication I don't need help for, is on the federally approved 4$ list. If I did not get the help from these discount programs, I'd be one insane bitch.
It amazes me just how much some medications can cost. It's a racket, that's for sure. I worry about the day when I no longer qualify, or the day when these programs get cut and are no longer available. Medication has made life livable again, I dread thinking about where my mind would go without it. "
I'm quoting a friend (I hope she doesn't mind) in the hopes that Wolfgaar still reads this. This is what the Government programs can do. Make it possible for someone to work and try to better their life. Without it, who knows where she would be, if even alive. When Obamacare is batted back and forth as socialist etc., these are the people we are talking about who NEED that free or reduced medical care.
