Oh, and I forgot to mention that I'm thrilled that the Feds will no longer be enforcing DOMA. Get OVER IT! Civil Unions and Gay Marriage are here to stay, at least in some states. It's time to give equal treatment to committed couples and stop worrying about what they do in bed. This country consists of a myriad of family styles, from the single teen mother to the three times divorced dad with 5 kids. Any time you can get two people to stick together these days, it ought to be rewarded. Any time you can help out parents, that ought to be rewarded, no matter their sex. You aren't going to make any gay families go away by having DOMA, you are just treating them (and their children) as second class citizens. For NO GOOD REASON.
Six years now we've had gay marriage here in MA. No one even notices now. That's how it should be.
