Not long for this world.

I was in line at the store today and the woman in front of me was someone who's husband is buried in the cemetery. She looked really thin and fragile. She asked the clerk to pack her bags light. I think it won't be too long before she becomes a customer. She didn't recognize who I was and I was going to say 'hi' but she was busy with her checkbook and I didn't want to interrupt her.

Tonight was my first 'open studio' I guess you might call it. Painting from a live model. Or drawing, or whatever. No instruction, just a chance to work on something. I thought I was way out of my element at first, but actually I think I'm not.

I'm free of Biv for a few days. She found a ring over the weekend which we both think is platinum. It had an inscription inside with initials and a date, 6/22/40. I assume it's a wedding ring, but we went to the library and tried to find a wedding for that date from the old town records, but there was nothing. So it was not someone from around here. There is no real way to find the owner other than perhaps advertising it as found, and even then I doubt you would find the owner. There is no telling how long it's been lost. We did try at least.

Himself brought home his school pictures today. They turned out reasonably well.

Mrs. Moose posted that her surgery was a success. That's good. I notice from her picture that she is packing on the pounds though. I wonder what drugs she is on and what they must be doing to her. But knowing her, she can just melt them off with weight watchers. ho hum.

Well, time to hit the hay.
