Stupid emails

Oct 02, 2009 23:06

I just got an email, or should I say I just read an email by my sister in law that said we should not forget the 1987 warnings of Oliver North who said that Osama Bin Laden was threatening his family. Yada yada yada.
So I looked it up on Snopes and posted the link (because you can't cut and paste from Snopes) and did a reply all email back to her and everyone else telling her its fake. It seems kind of mean to me to do that, to basically call her stupid by showing her she's wrong and doing so in front of every one on the list (I did not, by the way, say she was stupid, only that it was false) but at the same time I get so goddam sick of these stupid emails that go around and around and no one bothers to check them before just pasting my email address onto them and sending them around again. I kind of think it serves her right to be called out (and other people too) and corrected. Maybe she will think twice before doing one of those mass email things, or at least maybe she'll take me off that list. I have no use for dumb stuff like that.

stupidity, computers, family
