It's chilly out. But I'm not complaining because if I did, then the heat would turn up to 95 and I'd be really bumming.
My garden probably is not liking this though. But at least the sun is warm. Too bad we won't be seeing that for a few days, but we do need some rain I think. Top soil was getting a bit dry and dusty. Of course I say that now that Mem. Day is over and I don't care if the grass grows out of control.
My father had a stent put in so that hopefully he will be able to swallow better. The current though seems to be that his pneumonia is from aspiration, although I honestly don't know if that's the case, but getting him to be able to eat, if not really for nutrition but at least for some normality in his life, was always the goal. Since the chemo and radiation did nothing for him, and since he has other cancer's elsewhere, this is probably the last step I would think. This is more of a comfort thing than anything. And perhaps to keep him out of the hospital. The procedure seemed to go well, I have not talked to the doctor yet though. I have to call him tomorrow. They did, per my request to the surgeon, replace the J-tube. I'm actually amazed and astounded that they did it. From what I understand, it's no big deal, and since we couldn't get anyone to understand that the old one was breaking... well, it's gone and that's all that matters.
I think the honeymoon with Biv is over. She called me today to tell me she couldn't find her wallet. It as in her bag at work, and she took the bag with her when she got picked up. But somehow her wallet wasn't there. She wondered if it was in the truck, which I don't have at home, and I asked if she had had the bag in the truck. She hadn't, it was on the chair all day. Then she asked me if I had $10.00 she could borrow to buy cigs. That's when all my sympathy went right out the window. First off, she's 'quitting' smoking, she's on the pill for it. Secondly, she had a whole pack of cigs in her pocket today, although I think she smushed them while working. Thirdly, her sister smokes, she could bum a cigarette off her to get her by. And lastly I'M HER FREAKING BOSS! You don't ask your boss for cigarette money!! Which I would have to drive over to her. AGGGG! I hope the stupid wallet is on the chair or on the seat of the truck. But honestly!
We watched The Reader and enjoyed it. I liked the ending. Not what I expected.
We are closing on the refinancing tomorrow at 3. I hope all goes smoothly.
I have to go catch up on my newspapers. I think I'm a week behind.
