I am very close to being done with my painting. I am still working and reworking the terracotta bear in the background. To night I got it to look OK, but there is just a bit too much Alf about it. Needs more work. But not tonight

I don't have the backstory to Himself. Who is this person that gets so much mention in your journal?

(And it would bug me if after 18 years someone didn't realize I didn't drink, either!)

Sorry, Himself is my son, who's 12, almost 13. I don't use his real name, or anyone else's generally, unless they are 'out' on LJ. I think some anonymity, albeit slight, is probably good. I am sure anyone with half a brain could figure out who I am if they tried, but for the casual non-stalker, I dont give out names.

Wine is either a thoughtless gift or a passive-aggressive jab. How I hate that.

Well, it's not completely thoughtless, since husband will drink it, but since it was an anniversary gift, it kind of should be shared. She was just having a senior moment I'm sure. Just kind of funny/sad that of all the things to get....
Of course we have the same dilema with yours, do we get some nice alcohol because we know he likes it, or not because we know he likes it? People are so hard to buy for. lol
