I can't seem to find an entry about it, but my thoughts on this war in Iraq have always been that it was to establish a permanent base in that country, mostly because Saudi Arabia wanted us out, and I think Bush 2 thought that we would be welcomed with open arms for saving them from Sadam. Yes, it was all about oil. And it still is. Now it looks like he probably wants somewhere from which to watch/attack Iran as well. Perhaps that was in the game plan all along. And you know what the strange thing is? In the end, he may very well have had more foresight than anyone. Because it is all about who has the oil, and in the near future, that is going to mean a lot.(He who controls the Spice controls the universe)
So anyway, this morning on NPR they were talking about a 'deal' that Bush has made or is making with the government of Iraq. It amounts to a treaty, which basically says we will be there to put down attacks from outside and inside the country. In other words, we will be there to prop up the government, even if the people (you know, those 'we the people' types) want to overthrow it. And the kicker is that this is not being approved by our Congress because it is not called a 'treaty' , it is an 'agreement'. Yet Bush knows that no president in the past has just canned a previous president's agreements. So here we have Bush AGAIN thumbing his nose at all of our laws and at the constitution, and playing dictator again. And he has bad things to say about Hugo? When do we get to impeach him? When?
And totally off that subject.
Every morning I get coffee at the local convenient store (in my reusable mug). I have recently noticed that besides myself, other people have very peculiar coffee mixing routines. The store has a rack of perhaps 10 flavored coffees, and two huge tanks of regular 'house blend'. I myself take a shot of hazelnut cream, Popiano.... bla bla, and then the rest is just regular coffee. I also see other people do this kind of thing, a spritz of this and a shot of that. It's like a giant chemistry set. Just a funny thought I had. Done sharing, thanks.
