Last summer the air was horrid looking. I don't know what the actual pollution numbers were, but in August and Sept, I remember looking out at the horizon and seeing a yellow sky, a dirty yellow sky.
For most of this summer, I have not seen bad looking skies. Some days they have been yucky, but for the most part they have been pretty blue. I don' t know if that has anything to do with the lack of rain, moisture or clouds, or if there is some other reason.
But in the last few weeks I have again seen really crappy looking skies. Today I saw the city of Boston from the top of a hill, and it was shrouded in a horrid yellow/gray paste. To top it off it had a cloud bank over it that seemed to define the evil air even more. Really, really gross.
The good news is that recently there was some kind of ruling that will make power plants south and west of us do more to clean their emmissions. Yah.
NOW WHERE THE F&CK ARE MY WIND TURBINES!
smog,
pollution,
weather
