Another Bunko Night.

So I have to type quick. Or am I making excuses for not spell checking?

NPR has a movie revewer on Fridays I guess that I sometimes catch on the way home. I hate him. He reminds me of a bad Satureday Night Live episode. He gives you a run down on what the reviewers have said about the movies, then he has to add some idiotic routine that goes on and on and is just stupid. I have noticed NPR seems to be going down hill lately. They are doing that rediculous banter thing that the news shows do and honestly, I can't stand it. I want intelligent reporting. I don't want cute banter. If I wanted that I would listen to WRKO or some other annoying talk radio show.
What I want in my movie review is a synopsis of the movie, maybe a thumbs up or down and why, sometimes a history of who made the movie or other movies like it, and when it comes out. Don't tell me your childhood experiences, don't try to be funny. Just the facts Ma'am.

Olympics. Who it god's world thought it would be a good idea to have a giant sporting event in a country where you can't see the building next to yours because the pollution is so bad. NPR (doesn't it figure) had a report yesterday about how polluted the air is. A Soccer team is getting infections in their airways after playing there for 5 days. Don't quote me on numbers, but they said something like a polution rating of 90 in Washington DC would mean warnings would be given for people not to leave their houses. Some places in China have something in the 200 range I think. I unfortunately picked up the conversation in the middle, so I missed some of it. My father said he heard that they are going to be shutting down power plants before the games to clear the air. Oh, and I also read that millions? of people are being moved or otherwise displaced to make way for the games. There is something just SO WRONG about all this. Anyone in the environmental, human rights field should be boycotting these games if only to bring attention to it. Hell, if it were me, I would not risk my health if I were an athlete. Bad enough you go some places that are so hot, but pollution? No way.

I saw two detectives going to my neighbors house behind me. It' s been relatively quiet there for a while. I wonder what the little darling has done now?

There was a little girl (age 6) murdered in Weymouth this past week by her cousin. Sad story. I got cought up in the funeral traffic twice today while running errands.  It was a HUGE funeral. I am not even sure how they fit all the cars into the cemetery.  I saw it on the news briefly tonight.
The cousin who murdered the girl had had 'troubles'.  For whatever reason, he took a ladder and climbed into an upstairs window of the grandmother's house where the girl and her brother's were being baby sat. Then he sexually assaulted her and killed her, and put her in his car and was later stopped by police for speeding or something. It totally doesn't make any sense.  This is one of those cases where the death penalty should be used. Its a clear cut case, no question about who killed who.  And he has No remorse, he's one of those defiant types.  Give him his trial, show us the evidence, let him have his appeal if he can somehow come up with some excuse, and then execute him. End of story.

And on a more ironic note. I mentioned a while ago the plan the electric company had for charging more money to people who chose wind power for their electricity. I just got my electric bill and on it they have a break down of where the power comes from.
3% biomass, 12% coal, 2% hydro, 9% imported (whatthehelldoesthatmean?), 1% trash, 36% nat. gas., 30% nuclear, 7% oil, 0% solar, 0% wind. So, they don't seem to have any power being generated by wind, yet they want to offer me high priced wind power. Maybe they should get a source of power before offering it at a higher price.
