So I don't have an exam on Monday like I thought because EXAMS DON'T START TILL TUESDAY. My Classical Archaeology exam is actually MONDAY THE 9TH. This will teach me to not read calendars properly.

In fact, I DON'T HAVE ANY EXAMS NEXT WEEK. Seriously, how did I miss this? I suppose because I can't do math and it therefore didn't occur to me that if today is the 29th, there is no way the 9th, the 12th, and the 14th could possibly be within the next seven days. HERP DERP.

And now I'm like um...what the hell do I do with myself? I mean I could still study, but...no. Hahahaha no. NOT AFTER I LUGGED MY TEXTBOOK TO BATH AND READ IT UNNECESSARILY WHEN I COULD HAVE BEEN WALLOWING IN JANE AUSTEN.

Oh and speaking of that, after rereading Northanger Abbey I am totally reminded of why I liked Mr. Tilney so much. HE IS SO FUCKING FUNNY. I was laughing out loud in the middle of Gatwick airport. I'm not so big on Catherine, though. I know she can't help it, but OH MY GOD SHE IS SO NAIVE. So much so that I find Mr. Tilney's attraction to her kind of creepy in a pedo-ish way. It's not the age difference that bothers me (or I'd have to burn my NaNo, LOL), it's the fact that she REALLY MIGHT AS WELL BE A CHILD. I think I have an innocence squick.

I mean FOR GOD'S SAKE, she's supposed to be the same age as Marianne in Sense and Sensibility, but she is SO much more immature. And Marianne is like not even a particularly mature character.

And I read Persuasion for the first time and thought it was kind of meh. Anne and Captain Wentworth are on the dull side for Jane Austen characters. It was cute that they were reunited, but I felt like it could have been more entertaining.
