Alright then. Here's the update on the trip so far. After the first day in Dublin and night at Avalon House, we toured the Guinness factory in the morning, with great views of the city from the Gravity Bar. After that it was Powerscourt gardens and waterfall in the rain at Enniskerry?, and stayed the night in Glendalough. The hostel there was really nice, good setup, and we made it to the monastery and round tower in the morning, hiked a bit in Wicklow national park, with another waterfall, ruins, and mining camp. Afternoon at Cashel Rock. Drove to Cork in the Evening, stayed at the Kinlay house, and have been bumming around on my own while B went back to Galway for an appointment. I got to see the Cork City archaeology museum (Yay!!) as well as gardens there. Then walked to Cork College for the largest collection of Ogam (dead early Irish written language) stones in the country. Even bigger YAY! for early writing systems. I am a dork. This afternoon I hopped a bus to Midleton (suburb) to tour the Jameson factory. mmmmmm. And now, I'm killing a bit of time before heading to meet B in Killarney for the night. Driving the Ring of Kerry tomorrow!
Alright, cheers, and by for now
