i'm mentally working on a dark tower cast. here's what i have so far.
roland: daniel day lewis. please. how amazing. i've thought this for years. if he can't do it, i'd settle with viggo mortenson, i reckon. but i'd be sad.
eddie: joshua jackson (if he lost weight) or ben foster (if he dyed his hair)
susannah: GINA TORRES from firefly. hands down. if i see one more list online suggesting zoe saldana, i'm going to stab someone. she is too frail and girlish. susannah is definitely NEITHER of those things.
jake: would have to be an unknown. child actors are few and far between as far as talent on that scale goes.
flagg: gary oldman. i know he's a villain a lot, but dude is just so good at it. or maybe sam rockwell. after watching choke and moon, i have more respect for the guy. he's kind of childish and creepy looking. and i bet he's got a hell of a giggle.
stephen deschain: clint eastwood. with a toupee. and some mustache dye. it would be a nice homage.
young roland: considerable thought needed. will get back to you.
cuthbert: nobody but joseph gordon levitt
alain: unsure. a pudgy blonde nobody. alain doesn't talk much, so i'm not picky.
