ah, home repair...
I'm getting ready to leave... so far I have packed half my kitchen. I've flipped up my mattress (going to donate the mattress & box spring, hopefully tomorrow and just sleep on the futon). I've packed about half my books.
I've been trying my hand at home repair lately. I'm using wood filler to fill in the scratches my cat has made in the window sills... even if there's something next to it, often she pulls herself up with her claws. So I have scratches in the sill. Now, the wood in this place is not 100% to begin with, I can see on a couple of the doors and doorjambs where dents were filled with woodfiller (but not stained over, at least it doesn't look like it) and there are dents in the wood sills. But with the wood filler, the scratches stand out a bit by being paler. I'm currently fixing that a bit with watercolor paints. I will have to mention the need for stain to the landlord, but I want to tone it down a bit first.
Okay, of to continue channeling Bob Villa and Picasso...
