Alex carried the last of the boxes into the living room and sat down besides it.
“This is the last one.”
Olivia finished unpacking the box of books she had been working on and looked over at her girlfriend, then dropped her gaze to the box.
“We can just put that in the closet.”
Alex shook her head and opened the flaps of the box.
“No, let’s see what’s in the box of ‘stuff’,” she smirked, referring to the label on the box.
“Awww, this is cute,” Alex pulled out a teddy bear holding a heart.
Olivia tried to snatch it away, only to have it pulled back by Alex.
“Valentine’s Day gift?” Alex smirked again, a blonde brow raised at Olivia.
The brunette blushed just a bit.
“Uh…yeah, a few years ago.” She made a grab for it again, pulled it out of Alex’s hands and tucked it in her arms as she sat down besides her girlfriend.
Alex chuckled, then reached into the box. She pulled out a picture frame with a photo of a baby.
“Oh my God Liv, you were so adorable!” Alex looked at the picture closely. “Look at those big brown eyes and your curly hair.”
Olivia grinned sheepishly. “That was my first birthday picture. It was in with some of my Mom‘s things.”
Alex’s gaze grew wistful as she looked at the photo.
“I hope our kids look like you.”
Olivia blinked, looked at the picture, then looked to Alex. A grin spread slowly on the detective’s face.
“Kids? Really?”
Alex bit her bottom lip, chewing on it thoughtfully as she glanced up into those same big brown eyes. She nodded, her own smile growing to match her love‘s.
