Try, try, and never stop trying!
I will attempt to do the unspeakable, something I have thought about doing for a number of weeks and have labeled the task as impossible, but I am going to try because of an earlier quote which I used to say which reads, “Just because it hasn’t been done yet, does not mean it is impossible, it just means it hasn’t been done yet.”
Now the question is, how do I explain to a lost world the importance of life and the significance of our time spent here on earth which should ultimately geared towards uniting the world’s peoples and establishing a global system of justice?
Sometimes I stare ahead in space because I cannot fathom why anyone would waste their time doing certain activities, including myself, of watching wasteful television, surfing facebook and playing useless online games, and in some circumstances, time-consuming homework. A large portion of individuals do not understand their individual impact on the world. A single person may meet thousands of people in their life time, if not millions. This single person can make a strong influence on each of those lives, who then makes an impact on other people as a result of the effect the first individual had on them. Thus, the ripple effect, butterfly effect, and domino effect are all present in this circumstance. One person’s life then extends far beyond their own, and the effects can be outstanding. Keeping this in mind, imagine an individual who is pure in heart affecting those around him an encouraging them also to become pure in heart and morally upright in character. The effect of such an individual will be seen by his actions and the influence he exerts in purifying those around him. Now imagine an individual who is corrupt in spirit and devoid of the life giving waters of God, which continually purify us along with the gold of God! Such an individual would create a cloud of darkness around him in which evil things exist simply because the absence of goodly characteristics is present. Such an individual would not be progressive towards the ultimate goal of universal peace, communication, and friendliness.
If we but for a moment, realize the immense duty that faces humanity today of uniting the world, then the clarity and urgency of the task becomes quite evident, and to do anything o the contrary would signify an incomplete grasp of the overall concept. We must therefore, dedicate ourselves to the unity of mankind and sacrifice up our lives for this cause because by what other standard is your life judged by if you are not judged first by how much you helped humanity on an individual level? One may say personal happiness, but the time for personal happiness has long passed and the need for group happiness has come upon us. We cannot stand back as those around us are quickly deteriorating into nothingness as they are in Rwanda at this very moment. Only when world justice and peace has been accomplished may we then consider our job done, and even then the primary goal becomes the means for an even greater task, to which we then devote our time to.
Keeping the original goal in mind, we must first on an individual level develop the abilities in order to reach our overall goal of world peace and unity. Humanity cannot expect an infant, who has not developed his/her abilities to take on the responsibility of saving mankind from its impending doom. Instead we look to the older generations of youth who are continuously helped to higher and higher standards in hopes that one day, they will reach a level that allows them to develop the abilities to fix mankind’s problems and unite it. Therefore we must involve ourselves with anything that betters ourselves, especially looking towards the utility of the activity before entering into it and recognizing its virtuous benefits before blindly plunging into it in hopes of an advancement of some sort. For example, involving oneself in a play would seem relatively non-progressive towards humanity, but if one also keeps in mind that through entering this play they may sway the minds of possibly 50 people towards the development of world peace and global unity, then the goal of entering into a play is not simply to participate in a fun play, but to help advance the minds of many in preparation of the tipping point for mankind’s solutions. Keeping the earlier idea that an individual action may affect a possibly infinite amount of people, the effect of influencing 50 people becomes a larger responsibility. A helpful fact is that almost any activity can be twisted into developing humanity towards unity of conscience in order to upraise and develop humanity’s virtuous traits.
Only the tip of the iceberg has been viewed. To discover the rest, we must, on an individual level, cease to regard the individual goals our own life, and see how our life may be better spent to the service of humanity and as an acting character in the establishment of world justice, peace, and unity!
