It's been a while since I've actually sat down to update this but here i go -

so as some of you know a friend of mine and I have given up a certain action for Lent.
(I do Lent for the experience, anyone can do it.)
And that got me thinking today, what exactly is the need for humans to experience this action?
and heres my answer -

we have to resist masturbation because it's a temptation, that doesn't make sense if it's healthy to do, so aha! i have you and alex at a crossroads. i get alex's view that there is something more than just the human the body, but you aren't contacting anyone else but yourself when you play by yourself :], and of course there are higher pleasures, but they take longer than oh say a half hour.

You totally do not have to use porn.

And as long as you don't get obsessed with it, I mean doing it to a major point of excess (sort of like a twitch?),then masturbation is perfectly harmless. But Lent is about giving something up that you really enjoy, so I think it is great what you two are doing. Good luck boys!
