Totally mellow and chillin' as we get ready to ride.
Mom's saddle puts me in the most awful chair seat! Eww. It made the posting trot somewhat awkward, but I made do the best I could.
Stretchy trot! He was so happy to be out and moving!
Blurry photo anyway, so I played around in Photoshop a bit. The chair seat in all it's glory. Ick. But why look at me when you can be looking at Lightning! I'm sorry, but how many 18 year-old horses can you pull out of the field after two years and have looking like that within 5 minutes of trot?!

Ivan, mom's 21 year old appaloosa. He stood there without so much as lifting a leg for over 10 minutes while mom took some video for me. It's not age that does it - even as an 8 year old he was that patient! What a good boy!
"Doop-dee-doo... I'm kinda bored, guys..."
Lightning makes Ivan look so small! That grin was plastered to my face the entire time I was on him.
Lightning wasn't so sure about that scary black box mom kept holding up to her face...
"Seriously! What IS that?"
