Screwed?
I'm feeling about as retarded as a person can feel right about now.
I got a call this morning saying that I missed my appointment with Service Canada about my EI. I had no knowledge of such an appointment and told the lady as much. To which she informed me that I would have been notified through the mail about the date of the appointment, whereupon I informed her that I had received no such letter.
We rescheduled for thursday, at which point she reminded me to bring by job search list. Job search list?!!! Yeah, the list of jobs that you've been applying for.
One would have thought it would be obvious to keep a record of the jobs that I'd been applying for, but I haven't. Not in the least. Who would have thought that Service Canada would want to see proof that you're actually looking for work *makes an 'L' on her forehead*
Wow. I can't believe what an idiot I've been!
I composed a list of all of the jobs that I could find evidence of having applied for, and have a grand total of 23. That's pretty weak. I'm going to feel like an even bigger idiot when I go in there and say "no really, I've applied for more than that! Honest!"
