ARGH..I had written this entire post..and then when I tried to add the video-for some reason livejournal dumped my post..*sigh*
very frustrating...
Well, I shall try to recreate my post as best as I can..
I have been slowly learning my way around livejournal (this is ironically comical given the loss of the post...)..I do think I will like livejournal much better than blogger. For one thing-I love the community aspect. I spent a few hours earlier today just kind of poking through various communities and reading various blogs and I found quite a few that I really enjoyed. It would be pretty awesome to virtually link up with people with whom I share interests with.
This afternoon I spent watching college football:)~and thus I was quite happy. I have waited all year for football season to come around! And of course-OHIO STATE WON! :D
grrr..I can't believe my entire post was lost. what the heck is up with that..grumble grumble.. I guess that post wasn't meant to be made..
I also spent some time today poking through amazon.com trying to find new books to read. For those that don't know-I really enjoy reading and I have a library that I really enjoy-hundreds of books that cover three walls here in my study. I have read almost all of them, and for some reason which I can't really explain-just being surrounded by books is somehow very relaxing and homey feeling. It's comforting..I dunno..maybe someone out there can explain it..I can't.
So anyway, I tend to dive into an interest head first, then I read everything I possibly can on that subject-then I move onto something else. Currently I am on a Henry VIII kick and today I pulled down several books off of my shelves to re-read and use as reference..I am currently reading
The Autobiography of Henry VIII..I also pulled down
The Six Wives of Henry VIII by Allison Weir in addition to various others on the period. The problem is that I have already read each of these-some several times and I really want to find something new, but I can't. That's the problem with loving history..I don't think Henry VIII is going to do anything new here in the next few days that will fill a book or two (he is after all, rather dead)....so the only new books are usually new perspectives on his reign and times-but even that I would take and enjoy.. I will keep searching..I am sure I will find something...
I am not even remotely tired right now, but I think all of my friends are asleep..What's wrong with you people, lol-it's only 12:57 AM.. Remember back when Friday and Saturday nights were full of dances and dates..hanging out..parties? When did that all change? Being thirty something doesn't mean we're dead-in fact-we should party all the harder! *sigh*..I don't think there is anyone awake to convince here, lol..just me..all alone..so pathetic..(or maybe it's YOU SLEEPING people that are pathetic;) :P
Well since I am wide awake and not even close to being tired I think I may log into there (there.com) or maybe I will goof around playing rollercoaster tycoon3 some more. I will take my leave of you with three beautiful videos from the group "Blackmore's Night".
