Well, woke up this morning to beef that was a little too soggy. So, I put it, and the veggies, into my large iron skillet, and put it in to broil for a few minutes to dry it out and brown it a little, and crisp the potatoes and carrots.
Left it in the oven after I turned the broiler off.
Chopped up the cabbage, and fired it into the crock pot with the liquid that had cooked the corned beef, and went out for a long afternoon at the park with Young Sir.
Came back and had a bowl.
Could have been the fact that I was really cold, hungry, and had just walked two miles, but...the warm, messy meal seemed to hit the proverbial spot!
I'm gonna try to convince the sprout that it will hit his, too.
