as per usual--its been along time since i've updated...all i have to say to that is this: get over it
yeah--'eternal sunshine of the spotless mind'--amazing movie--i bought it without having yet seen it--and i was a mess...rob told me i would cry like a little girl--and by the end--i was...as well as laughing hysterically and telling rob to fuck himself...it was a nervous breakdown and the funniest and saddest moment ever...lol....anyway, i watched it the day it came out on dvd--and have just now recovered...now its time to buckle down and watch it with brian and try to be strong...lol...oh--bought the soundtrack day after i saw the movie...obsessed....its amazing how familiar the music sounds....its perfect--b/c thats the point of the movie...oh god...i'm getting emotional...time to change the subject...
bat boy is nearly over--we have two shows left...thank god...its not that the show itself is bad--i'm not even getting into my critique of the show--its just that the show has totally destroyed all confidence in my ability as a performer...granted, i was made dance captain--however, that didnt even make it into the program...my point is--i felt like abandoned crap at evey rehearsal...and its almost over--thank you lord
in the mean time--i was cast as lysistrata in lysistrata by a director who has never seen my work...i was cast based on my past reputation...*sigh*...thats what being loved feels like...now i remember...it feels good...anyway, lysistrata is about an anti-war protest that the women of athens and sparta arrange which consists of no sex with the men till the war is over...its really quite funny...it was done as a sort of "go out and vote" thing...however, afterwards there was a discussion that was supposed to be about why its important to vote--but turned into the cast preaching their liberal ideals and why you should vote for kerry--in so many words...it was so biased that rob (who is a democrat) said it was making him uncomfortable...seriously--thats not right...it ruined the whole experience for me...i just stood there with my mouth shut...the last thing i wanted was another debate...i'm so sick of it--but enough politics--lysistrata went well--we had fun--it was a staged reading...and i got to fight and throw things at john...which included water and my bra...fun times...we all enjoyed our own mistakes and mis-pronounciations...good time, great show, i wasnt impressed with simone's directing ability--or lack thereof...and i was thoroughly disenchanted with her as an individual when she made her political opinion abunduntly clear despite the fact that she legally can not...we had a whole discussion in theatre history and psychology--after which i had no idea what sid emy two professors were on--and i loved it...simone on the other hand....yeah....thats all i wanna say about that...
so i'm going to be just as busy--if not, busier--in the near future...and so it goes is again going up--so i get to be in that again--so excited...and i am cast in candice's directing scene...tonight is auditions for their final projects (i think)--and i think i'm already in three of those...good lord...its gonna be fun...i cant wait--
so now i'm going to finish studying for theatre history--go take the test--go teach at dance inc., and come back for an audition...*whew*...hopefully i'll get to go home in the near future...celebrate the brother's bday...yikes...lol...
