i must say, i enjoyed this movie but i walked out disappointed, if you had never watched indie before then this was a pretty good movie but i did ask myself continuously "what were you thinking georgey??" over the ants and the aliens, it was so frustrating that they opted for this "cop-out crowd pleaser" they tried to be clever, i personally believe they failed, its an interesting idea but it didnt work, i got very excited about the russians and the paranormal route they took (as lots of evidence supports that they did attempt this route in the cold war) but it quickly fell on its face, its true that crystal skulls were found etc... but why oh why did they go the alien route??? even the little things in this movie relating to the aliens got annoying (like why did the previous explorers only take the one skull?, why didnt the aliens leave before the skull was removed etc.....)

all in all i liked this movie, although i would have to shut my eyes and ears at the alien and ant bits and make up the scenes in my head if i were to watch it again :P
