Saddam Verdict
So he has been sentanced to death by hanging. No real suprise.
But I am always troubled by a death penalty. The death penalty was scrapped in the UK a long time back and I like many others here think it an uncivilised means of punishment and one which puts blood on the hands of the nation that performs them. I do not believe anybody has the right to take the life of another not even a state.
I however think Saddam should have gone to prison for the rest of his living days.
