I have been into rap from pretty near the start of it. I was a little girl when I first heard when my brother played a bootleg tape of many of the rap artists of the day and I loved it.
I went on through many of the important phases of rap in to 80's and early 90's. As I grew older got into Run DMC, Public Enemy, NWA, Ice T then Cyprus Hill and House of Pain. Of late I have only relly liked Eminem and I cannot say I like so much much of modern rap.
This takes me back however to the early 80's. It was the first rap/hip hop song I ever heard and one I loved the most for a long long time.
