I'm still here!
Hello everyone!
I am still alive and kicking =) I have been through an awful lot in the past few months and my journal has not been a priority unfortunately. I'll try to fill you in.
Brian is doing sooo great! He lost his job last december, and sat around for about 5 months and that was really really rough. But he got back into church and has done alot of praying and since then has begun doing handyman, repair, remodeling type things through the cheapcycle and kjkbnapier yahoo lists. He has been really busy. He has put in hand rails, remodeled bathrooms, leveled yards for pools and landscaped, he is begining to work on shelving and decks for two people. I am praying he continues to work like he has. He feels this is what he should be doing, and I am supporting his decision 100% There is nothing he can't do, and the people that he's done work for have given him glowing references which is awesome!!! So if you all need anything fixed, repaired, built etc. just let me know at mommytojared@gmail.com =)))
Jared~He is out of school for the summer finally =) He did really well this year. My little man has went from almost being kicked out of school (rather being a huge mess) to being a stellar student that they all hated to see go at the end of the year!! I am so proud of him. He is a reading hound which is really great. He is one smart little man! He played soccer for the "Y" and they won all but one game and that one game was a no score game for either team. He had an awards ceremony and got his soccer medal, and also got another certificate for being the best to go after the ball persistantly and never giving up. He will be playing for CSAY soccer this fall which I am excited about. He will have the same coaches as he did for the "Y" and he was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship for the fees. He is excited and it keeps him extremely focused and has helped tremendously for him to focus on his social team building skills. He's still on his medications, but he's made huge progress.
Me~ I was put on Byetta for my Type II diabetes. I failed a 3 hour glucose tolerance test so I am on actose at night and byetta before meals. I am doing ok. I've lost a TON of weight =)) I am almost the size I was before I was pregnant with jared!! I've lost 50 lbs since last may!!! I look good and feel good about myself. I am finally happy with myself. Its taken me along time, alot of hard work, and alot of prayer but I am very happy with myself. Brian and I were trying to have another child for the last 5 months, and it just didnt work. I was upset at first, the doctor really did us wrong though. We get all ready for IUI and go through the ultrasounds and the shot of HCG etc. only to be told the morning of the IUI that we had to pay cash up front for the lab fees!!!! They aren't contracted with any insurance company but anthem, and no one bothered to tell us that! So we had to turn to the timed intercourse method. Needless to say I just finished up with Aunt Flow last week!!! I have come to the conclusion that it wasn't meant to be and I need to be happy with what I have now. Its in God's hands at this point. I am sad about it, it breaks my heart....but I have a beautiful boy that I am so proud of and am content to have! My MIL just took us to Amish country this past weekend. We had a blast. It was a time to think and a time of peacefulness!
