Court Yesterday
Okay I didn't have to testify, I didn't even have to step into the court room. It ended up being a peace bond and the following terms
1. He is to have no contact with me or is he allowed to be near me
2. He is basically on 12 months of probation
3. He must receive couselling as dicated by his probation officer
4. No booze for 12 months
5. Pay a $2000 fine
He will not have a criminal charge against him but it will be on his record that he was charged with sexual assualt and the result of the charge was this peace bond. If he breaks the bond they will haul his ass back in and give him a harsher sentence. So basically at this point I have given him enough rope to hang himself because I know he won't stick to this bond. There is a small possiblity that if he breaks the bond I might be called back to court but that is very slim. I am happy with what happened and the results. I knew I would not get a conviction but this is pretty good. I have placed the first nail in his coffin and the next lady he does this to will nail the fucker shut. I am happy I went and I am proud of myself for standing up to him. I was really lucky, I had a great lawyer that made this so much easier on me. My lawyers big concern was getting me some justice without causing me a lot of grief and upsetting me further.
Also a huge thank you to all my friends that gave me their support and hugs. It really helped me out in this situation. It gave added strength to face this horrible event. And Drayce I love you so much for going with me. For holding my hand, for keeping my mind occupied while we sat and waiting to find out what was happening. Thank you so much.
