You definitely have the brains. What your problem is is prioritizing and giving up too easily. Life is full of obstacles. You can't just win a race without training up for it and being ready for it. I'm sorry that your mistakes from the past are catching up to you (I can definitely relate, though not academically). It's rough, dude.
Your dad's a dick. There, I said it. You have the brains to learn the survival skills...but you have idiots like him saying horseshit like that to knock you down the rungs of the ladder you're climbing. Don't let his negative energy get in your way. And don't even THINK about marrying a rich man...they're the most boring individuals you can meet!
Keep your head up, set your priorities, and stick with them. You might not be able to graduate with your friends (even I didn't get to graduate with most of my friends in high school because they were all older tham me), but who knows? Maybe this will give you the chance to meet some new people or help you focus on other important things or become acquainted with some new, neat stuff (and I'm not talking about drugs! AAA!).
