I finally know what's good for me...
So I went to go see Tim's band play last night at the Phantasy. I'll admit, I was a little nervous about going... For one, I don't like going new places by myself, I get a little panicky. And, I didn't even know if I'd get to talk to Tim, or whether he'd be swamped with people he knew or had to do band stuff the whole time.. I don't know.. I didn't know how these things worked.
But as it turns out... I'm really glad I went. I had a great time. I got to talk to Tim for like an hour before his band went on, and I met two of his friends from High School, two of his sisters, and his dad, and they were all very nice. I laughed a lot as per usual... after about 15 minutes I caved and bought myself a beer There were lots of funny conversations happening that night too.. The best ones were:
Tim's Friend: How do you say his last name?
Tim: Pequignot.. it's like penguin.. but with a Q. ... ... And an "oh" at the end of it..
Tim's Friend: Ah yes, so aside from the Q and the"oh" at the end of it it's exactly like penguin...
James Pequignot: Hi, were The Singular, and we're going to play some music for you
Tim's Friend: Oh, is that what we're here for?
Michelle: *almost chokes on guiness*
Good times. Methinks I'll try to go to one of their shows again. It was defintately worth the time and the money. They're very, very good. I think Tim needs more vocals though. :) That's my totally unbiased opinion.
