overtired makes me silly...

Holy crow... this week man.. has been full of a lot of early mornings and late nights. Consequently, I've become incredibly overtired.  The really interesting thing, is that rather than becoming crabby, I've kind of gone into a state of semi-permanent slap happiness.  I'm laughing at like... everything.  It doesn't even matter if it's not that funny, once I start laughing I seriously can't stop.

Some of the guys in the anatomy lab have found this amusing to no end... particularly Matt, who now makes it his personal mission to get me laughing.  And he's nicknamed me Giggles.

aww jeez... like I don't do enough stupid stuff... I gotta get nicknamed for laughing all the time.  Andy was trying to make me feel better about it, saying that laughter was a good thing and was very healthy.  Oh well, there are worse things to be nicknamed for I guess :)

The anatomy class had their first lab practical this week... which I got to help set up for.  It was so crazy.  I felt a little overwhelmed and a little confused at first.. but it was fun.  I got to do a really quick dissection all on my own.  We were short on flexor forearm muscles... and we only really had one body left that needed to be pinned.. but for some reason.. this group didn't do a forearm dissection.. like..  at all.  Which boggles my mind.. but that's not the point.  But anyway.. I had to like, dissect the flexor side forarm and pin a muscle in like.. 10 minutes.. it was pretty exciting.  That palmaris longus was beautiful though.  I got all the fascia off but didn't tear into the muscle at all, and showed it's insertion point and had all the fascia cleared off the surrounding muscles.. it couldn't have been any clearer.  Not that the palmaris longus is a hard muscle to dissect by any means... it's like one of the most superficial ones... but to my defense I had all the other ones dissected too. :)  Ok sorry.. too much anatomy... I'm done now I swear.

Ok.. time to go do something productive.  Like killing this pile of scanning so I don't feel guilty about not coming in much next week....
