Saga of the Boot, Day, um, 11 (dang)

I'M MAKING PROGRESS!!! Thing number one that has made today a very good day--at rehab this morning I was able to stand on my left (injured) leg for 40 seconds, full weight, even after I went through all my exercises and The Whirlpool (let me tell you what, it's been about five or six days since I had to do the whirlpool--I've been on heat packs--and I'd forgotten how freaking cold it is! Holy geez!) and the board. Oh! And the board! One of my exercises is a BAPS board, basically a disc I have to rotate and keep an edge on the ground the whole time--I think I mentioned it once before. Anyway, today was the first time I could keep an edge on the ground the whole circle. Three times 'round, both directions! So yes, progress is being made, and now it hurts because I was a little overexuberant at work today but that's okay.

Class was wonderful, because how can writing class not be wonderful? One of my stories continues to be very well received, which is so encouraging because it's a total departure from what I normally write. (For one thing, it's prose.) Plus it was stormy and rainy this morning, which was awesome because I love the rain, and then my meeting at lunch wasn't nearly as painful as it could have been and I had some great banter with some friends of mine that I hadn't realized I missed as much as I did. Then work was great, lots of sorting and cataloguing which I really like because I'm a freak, and I know this probably reads like an awful run-on sentence but I'm having a really awesome day and I have to go to choir soon so I want to finish this before I leave. Here's hoping that choir and rehearsal tonight don't kill my good mood, but I think it's pretty self-sustaining by now.

Have an awesome day and a quiz, friends, and I'm going to go get my foot to wake up and then sing my heart out. Huzzah!

Extremely true, sadly...ah, the life of a college student. The bank account of a college student. Ick.
