Fetus Dreams and other enigmas

...

All of my conflicts are appearing in my dreams. The ones of the past, the people who either blatantly abused my kindness and generosity or demanded that I change according to their dictates or decided I should be blamed for all of their problems, failures and fears.
I've been a magnet for those types, in the end I get either wake up or get sick ( Read more... )

I'm not referring to the end of the world, as most people like to interpret the Mayan's prophecy to mean - just that something major is going to happen to change the way we live. They were aware of the cycles of more than our planet, charting changes in the solar system's other masses. They just happened to use a different way of expressing their observations which makes people think it's all mystical bs.

Backing this theory of interpretation, there is a scientific prediction of a major solar flare, like the one in 1859 called "The Perfect Storm" , due to happen in 2012 according to the Sun's own observed and documented cycles.

When this happens (it will eventually, whether in 2012 or not) it will most likely knock out our electrical systems world wide, cause massive wildfires and the Borealis will be seen on our latitude.

It's hard not to admit if we don't get smart enough to learn how to protect against these perfect storms, there will be one big enough to knock us into chaos, as the majority of people have no clue how to live without electricity and all our electrically dependent toys.

Here's a couple of links talking about this specifically:

Do I really strike you as someone who believes in doomsday, end of the world crap? I believe in looking at everything and finding the truths in mythology - the mythos come from somewhere and it's not all fairytales and boogeymen. ;)

That's interesting. Of course, humanity could also be wiped out by a comet or asteroid the size of Pavarotti's ass, like the one that got the dinosaurs, sixty-five million years ago. Another possibility is another ice age, due to happen within the next ten to twenty thousand years, in which most of North America would be under miles of ice. We could get into the theories of climate change or the fact that if monkeys don't watch it, they might just drive themselves to extinction by being jackasses. If nothing else, the sun will consume the world when it becomes a red giant in the next five billion years.

The possibilities for end-time scenarios are endless...

Western civilization-and Americans are apparently especially guilty of this-masturbate to 'pocalyptic fantasies. Think about it; here is the ultimate reset button. The world as we know it ends, and we all not only feel fine, but get to perhaps have a clean slate. I've also heard this accounts for some of the borderline nihilistic tendencies of some hominids. If the world's supposed to end on the first of April or whatever year-as an example-then why fucking bother?

Like you, I've had apocolyptic dreams. Such a thing has held a certain amount of fascination for me-fuck, I wrote a book about it once ;). I would like to see some kind of change for humanity, a move toward something more enlightened-and I feel dirty and new-agey saying that-although I'm not sure what that could be, or if it will take something horrific to get Homo sapiens to pull their collective heads from their collective asses.

Long answer to a short question; no, I don't think you're a complete tin-foil hat wearing conspiracy theory doomsday zealot. Well, maybe on the occasional weekend as something to do other than play Scrabble, but not all the time...;p
