This week can be summed up in one word: Hell. I won't go into too much detail about the awfulness of it but I will say that Wednesday nearly killed me. Due to my horrible lack of planning I had to rush up cardiac hill to get something from my dorm. Normally it wouldn't have been too bad but it was extremely windy that day. And given that it's January in Pittsburgh, the wind is freezing (really the only reason why it was cold that day). I seriously could not breathe. It's scary when you can't catch your breath.
At least things started to look up today. I went to the TA's office before class to ask her a few questions about the Linguistics homework. And a lot of people had the same idea. I kid you not when I say that it was like a mini party. Needless to say we lost focus at various points and started talking about Monty Python ("we are the knights who say Ni!") and Singing in the Rain ("that's an awesome movie for linguists!"). It was just the little pick-me-up that I needed...though I'm still not looking forward to this exam on Tuesday. Help!
Hopefully, though, this weekend will be better. My aunt is picking me up tomorrow after class and I'll probably be there till Sunday. And if I actually do some homework I may not have a repeat of this week. Can Amber get off her lazy bum and finish most of her homework this weekend? Only time will tell. Tune in next time to Life on the Hill.
P.S. I can't wait till Tampa! Ugh, I miss my Shay. Just 23 days now, right?
PPS We finally have hot water in the shower!!
Scott: Singing in the Rain? I love that movie! [everyone turns to look at him] Yes...I'm a loser...
