Familiar confusion shaped Castiel's wide-eyed face.
"Living as humans do?"
Since relinquishing his grace, the Winchesters had cared for and coached him, though their teaching lead to more questions. They were very patient with him.
"Being in love with Dean."
"You, too, bear this?" Castiel struggled for words; none were adequate. "Joy and agony suffused with warmth. Ever lost, but found again at his merest glance...
How, Samuel?"
At the other end of the bar, Dean downed his beer and grinned at the giggling blonde tugging him toward the back room.
"A lifetime of practice."
