Nora Jones - How did this song make you feel? I only read the lyrics, so I can't be terribly objective in this regard.
- What kind of attitude is portrayed in the music style? The lyrics? Didn't listen to the song, so all I can comment on is the lyrics. All of her lyrics seem quite dark, almost like she is trying to convey a futileness of casting a vote, and regardless of what that vote was for, a persistant fear and darkness afterward.
- Do you agree with her message? No, I think that a vote can make a difference, though it becomes a lot harder to make a change if you have a minority opinion.
Seven Nations -How did this song make you feel? It seems a positive, motivational song. -Does this song show the issue in a positive or negative light? Why? Both. Positive in that, the author believes that a single vote can make a difference. Negative, in that no one's opinion should go uncounted.
Ayanna Stokes and Agape Children’s Choir -How did this song make you feel? A Positive song. -What did you think of the use of the children’s choir? The author really emphasizes that the future (ie the children) will be impacted by what voting decisions are made today. -Does this kind of message feel inspiring to you? Why or why not? I suppose so... It urges people to stand up and vote for what they believe in.
