Sometimes during the day, usually just before breaks,
I find my thoughts wandering into quirky quotes.
Quotes unlike the more distinguished ones found printed under red dated calenders,
that each day you'd peal back another morsel of enlightenment.
"perfection is achieved,
not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away"
Antione de saint-exupery
"When I get bored, I like to drive down town and get a great parking spot,
then sit in my car and count how many people ask me if I'm leaving"
The words just stare at me as if trying to help wash away last nights perspiration unsuccessfully until I retort with a phrase with less weight.
But I don't resent my little paper pal if anything it triggers a source of amusement.
Much like the book I'm trying so hard to take seriously at the moment and failing,
properly because I'm not giving the debuting author the attention he deserves...
Denis Kehoe : 'Night Beneath The Nation'.
An interesting viewpoint about a pre decriminalized Ireland within an Irish gay love story.
However it won't be making my top three books of the year but is worth a mention.
Speaking of small print, because of the nature of my job and it's confidentiality policy we're not allowed to photograph co workers at work inside.
So I waited 'till everyone left for lunch to quickly snap these and conclude my
'day in the life' before our office gets mucked up with plastic christmas shit.
Entrance right and left...my work station.
