1st day almost done
I never seem to remember to update anything from my room, so I guess I will update it here in the library again. So yeah, I've been back at LB for about 2 full days now....super cool. I didnt get the room I requested, but I did get the exact same setup in the right building, so its cool. We need to just prop open the suite doors all the time so we can wander freely around the rooms, and if I am never in my room, there are two other choices in teh same building I could be at. Dave keeps trying to call me (sorry I miss you all the time Dave) and I hate to tell him that I sold the parking permit he wants already, sorry, I thought Bryan needed it more to visit Jenny, cause if Jenny's relationship is in trouble he needs to be here for her whenever he can.
So, my first day...two classes so far, and as usual, math sucked ass. I hate classes where when you volunteer info, the teacher treats you like you are stupid, so I think I may spend the semester quiet and in the back. However, my childrens lit class is a dream come true. Not only did she read one of my favortie books from when I was a kid aloud in class today (Alexander and the terrible, horrible, no good very bad day), but our final is on the first Harry Potter book! Plus, we are supposed to bring our favorite books to class on Wed, so Amy and I hit the library alraedy to get our faves. She grabbed The Polar Express, I stole Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. I love childrens books, we wandered all over that section looking at the best ones.
Unfortunately, I have one more class and more homework to do tonight, but I may procrastinate till tomorrow morning, I dont think I have class till 2...I dont remember, I should print out my schedule while I am here. We havent finished setting up the room (no stereo yet), but its cooler then any room we have had before, bigger, nicer, and a lot darker for some reason, so we use the light a lot. No one knows where we are unless we tell them, which is nice. Food is decent tonight in my opinion, almost makes up for the fact that we were supposed to have burgers yesterday and we got BBQ chicken instead. Oh, and I got to help make a non existant line, that was fun:) We wanted to pick up parking stickers for residents at the BBQ yesterday, and we made a line where we assumed they would set up, only to find out about 30 muinutes later that they werent coming, there are no stinkers yet. Sucks for the 150 people in line behind us, but I am mostly amused by it. My hair is still red, has not started to wash out yet, and I am hoping to snag a camera for a few pics of it before it fades out. for now, I need to go downstairs to find a math journal for class, although I dont actually have math till next wed...which is a blessing for now. Stupid MathEd department, they all suck.
See, I can post without making it a pissy rant, I am actually in a good mood. We'll see how good it is after I finish my last class of the night, 5-5:50, Education Psych 303...something about diversity in classrooms.
