Here is a true story about Joe Jacobs from my brother Yami, who was in his class in the late 80s. The first paper Yami handed in got a B or a B minus. Mr. Jacobs had written all these corrections and suggestions on it in case Yami wanted to resubmit it for a better grade. For the fourth paper, Yami decided to use the first paper, assuming that Mr. Jacobs wouldn’t remember the original, but this time he incorporated the corrections. He got a C plus.
