I like trees.
So I must say, these past two weeks have felt like august. the weather, the plants, animals, my mind, it all is just late summer. Tuesday was the nicest weather I have had out here since June. Beautiful day, not too humid not too hot. and somehow, even though I am working a double shift out here, I am happier and more content in my work than I have been in a while. today I have been out here two solid weeks. yesterday I traveled to the highest point in Connecticut for the first time. I have climbed the highest peak in Connecticut probably over ten times this summer. How is that possible? because the highest point in Connecticut is on the side of a mountain whose peak is in Massachusetts. The highest point is along the trail at a border marker. mostly I hiked it to say that I had been to Connecticut's highest point and be able to mock people from Connecticut for their crappy highest point. Also I have now hiked all the highest points in each state of New England with the exception of Rhode Island. anywho, I am pumped for school but their will be a twinge of sadness to leave this fantastic job. and no body visited me, with the exception of bill, who arrived like a jungle cat unannounced and stealthy. Bill is a fantastic and crazy motherfucker. but you all knew that. I am very much looking forward to a little nap time at home, but going home also involves getting my wisdom teeth removed next Tuesday. peace out.
