We are nearing the end of our first full week of Spring Quarter.
Or at least I am.
Things are awesome right now. Let's just put that out there right away.
Yesterday, I sat on a master class led by Steven Balderston. For those of you who don't know him, he is the former associate principal cellist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the current cello professor at DePaul University (Elisabeth, I am SO jealous!). One word: Amazing. It was by far the best master class I have ever sat in on. He had great advice for everyone, and he was so nice. The Wolftones played for him--he got a huge kick out of that. The guy can play the Stones and bluegrass riffs on his cello! I mean, come. on. It doesn't get any more awesome than that. Tomorrow he is leading another class, and I'm playing in it. Me=excited.
I'm playing in a gig for the Seattle Peace Chorus. We're doing the Mozart Requiem and I get paid for it. How sweet is that?
It is sunny outside. I like that.
I hope your day is going fantastically. You deserve it.
