Good bye 2004
Wow, it feels like the end of an era. 2004 was by far the greatest year of my life. I'll be lucky if any other year during the rest of my life is half as great as this last one was. Every day was better than the one before it.......well, up to a certain point, anyway. I learned so much about myself and about other people. I made several new friends for which I am thankful. Hell, one of my closest friends is someone I hardly knew one year ago. And for that I am especially thankful. When the ball dropped at midnight, a large part of me was hoping and praying that I would wake up and it would be 2004 all over again. That would have been great. But alas, no such thing did occur. Right now the only thing I want is to have exactly what I had in 2004. What I have now is close, but it still isn't close enough. I think it is possible to have exactly what I had last year, and I am optimistic that it may indeed happen in the future, but I just wish the future could be the present. *Sigh* Oh well. All I have to say now is "Bring it on '05!"
