I wonder if this would be one of the earliest appearances of a code of adverse possession? It would be fascinating to see a law review paper about the "family tree" of adverse possession across different codes. Whether they all have it, what the oddballs are, and who seems to have made what modifications to predecessors...
I know there's quite a bit of variety in existence, because different U.S. states have significant differences, and I imagine these weren't dreamed up in people's skulls.
