My office mate was just reading a news story about the Saudi prince's trip to Texas. Apparently, he demanded that there be no women in the control tower when his plane landed, and whoever makes these decisions complied.
What hypocrisy. These are the same people who, when complaining about US military women driving trucks and stuff, said "in our country you follow our rules". Hellooooo -- in our country maybe you should follow our rules??
My office mates said they should have gone out and rounded up some maintenance guys to do those jobs for the prince. Or maybe some stray tourists, just to reduce the odds that they'd know anything at all about air-traffic control. But at least they'd be male.
