can i just say that "i constantly thank god for esteban" is an amazing song and i find it odd as to what that song means to me, lol
it is...extremely hard to believe that i have t-minus 1 week left in espana. where does time go, seriously?
i guess on...thanksgiving, i really really was missing home. and it is going to be nice to see my family next week, but at the same time...when am i going to see MADRID again? I will be back here some day, i. will. be. back. and the rest of europe, i want to see you someday too. it sucks only being here for one semester...you can basically choose to travel like every weekend and see all of europe, but not get to know much about madrid, or stay here for the most part and get to know and love madrid ohhh so much. im fine with knowing madrid. and i basically love everything about it. but rome, paris, london...someday, ill get to you guys too. and i got to know a lot of spain, between galicia and portugal, salamanca, caceres, the canary islands, and barcelona. i just didnt get to go to the south of spain. again, i guess i hope that i really make a shitload of money someday because i will have the traveling bug.
speaking of money...i didnt go completely broke. granted, i feel completely broke. but theres still a few dollars left in the ol' account. yay. had to pay the bentley bill, always fun. apparently i have housing next year. which is good, but its still a matter of where, who knows. and theres a small chance ill be living with sarah but im not getting my hopes up on that one. we luckily have 2 and a half classes together next semester, you know, to continue the trend of basically spending our LIVES together, haaa it will be so weird in january being apart from that girl after spending like 4 months in another country with them and seeing them everydayyyy.
and continuing with money...the christmas shopping has been going well, i just hope i can get everything back to the states lol. buying "spanish things" for people is hard, i will tell you that. cuz i can go into a store, see something i like for a person, but then go "ohh...well i could buy this for them in the states too". ugh. or if i see something cool, but its obviously from another culture thats not spanish...then i hesitate on buying it. but yeah.
and further on, i did buy myself a little christmas present yesterday...RED SOX TICKETS! ummm..after waiting in a virtual waiting room for 6 hours, and only being able to get 1st base side standing room tickets (which apparently arent that bad?), i was able to get three tickets for sarah, cathy, and i to go see the red sox play the los angeles angels on april 15th! should be exciting and fun no matter what. wooo. and i got to use my credit card again to build up some more *perfect credit*. amaaaazing. lol so yeah, something in the states to look forward to.
and final note about spain life i guess...on friday, i went to an amusement park. and rode a roller coaster. amazing. i also took a cable car ride through madrid and saw an egyptian temple. ive posted pictures on webshots/facebook. but there are seriously so many cool things to do and see here. classes are also over, i think i aced my accounting final (granted who knows how well i did in the class), and when i handed in my history final, my professor told me that my 15 page paper on the 1936 Berlin Olympics was EXCELLENT. not good, EXCELLENT. can you say, SCORE! i love being told i do good work. seriously, it makes me proud.
anyway, just a spanish final and a macro final to go, then i have 5 days of "vacation" here in madrid (we still have to see the palace and the cathedral) and then i will be home for a week of holiday cheer, marketbasketness, and UniFirsting. woo.
when does everyone else come home? i know u want to seeee meee!
paz.
