Came back from Rome yesterday and today I've been to work. So, I'm quite tired now. Those ten hours at work really drain me. But it was all right being back again catching up with the news!
Rome was great, my birthday was great. We had nice sunny weather, Michael and I both have red noses now ;) Besides, our feet are still trying to recover from all the walking we did. Actually, we spent most of the time just walking! The weather was too good to go to any museums - except Saturday morning where we had one heavy shower. Thus, we went to a Guggenheim exhibition (works from the New York and Venice Guggenheim) which was fab! In the afternoon the sun came back and we visited the Palantine Hill and the Colosseo.
The other days we just walked up and down, exploring the various neighbourhoods and eating pasta and mozarella till we bursted! On Friday we made a picnic in the park by Villa Borghese with Daniele, Raffaella and my Danish friend Sofie who came down from Milan, where she lives at the moment. She brought her 2 month old baby boy, Carlo Viggo, who made his debut as a tourist! He did really well and he was even breast-feeted at the very Saint Peter's square among the pilgrims ;)
Tomorrow, Jane will come visiting from Cork. She's got a lot of paper work to do in Denmark (she needs to renew her papers so that she doesn't lose her rights here, since she is still an Estonian citizen) and she'll stay at my place meanwhile. I don't have much free time while she's here and the little time I have I need to start packing my things before moving May 1. But she said she'll help me so that should be all right.
I can't believe it... I just got home 1½ hours ago... and now there's only 2 hours till I have to go to bed again... Boring!! But I need it since I get up at 5.30am. Yikes!
