Horray, my cold seems to be gone! ...or else, this is the calm before the storm that is me hacking up a lung.
I am strangely excited to see the Twilight movie. I enjoyed the books, but I didn't think I'd be looking forward to the movie that much.
Also, I am strangely excited to see High School Musical 3. I'll be doing that this weekend at some point. I'm taking a girl from church to see it. I partly blame South Park for that, though: because of their almost!parodies of songs from it, I now have the actual songs stuck in my head.
What else do I have to talk about, besides movies that were not made for my age group at all...
Um. I watched Disney's Sleeping Beauty a while back. I've seen it as a kid, but I prettymuch forgot everything about it. It wasn't as great as I remembered, but Maleficent is now my favorite Disney villian. She's totally my next Halloween costume. I love how sarcastic and creepy she is. She... well, she reminds me of GLaDOS, really. Except that she was around first. But whatever. I really hope I didn't say this yet. I don't think I did. I think I just thought about posting it. Which is kinda sad. But anyways.
...but that's still a movie not made for my age group, really. Um...
Sunday night I saw The Dark Knight with a couple peoples from work. It was just as fun as the first time. Oh man is that movie awesome. I think my favorite thing about it is that a lot of things the Joker does, you're not sure whether to laugh or not. Like, he'll do something, and you'll laugh, and then you'll think, "wait a second, he just killed somebody, should I be laughing?" It's hard to explain. So you should all go just see it. And take me with you.
I need to start on a Mrs. Claus costume for a lady from work. And soon. Blah.
NaNo is going pretty well. Being sick made me fall behind a bit again, but today I wrote about 4,300 words, and now I'm at about 19,000. Which isn't that good, considering if I were on schedule, I'd be at 30,000. But I've got a pretty good pace going, and if I can get a couple more days this week where I can get around 4,000 words (which I think I can, if I do about 2,000 during the day and 2,000 in the evening), I'll be doing pretty well.
...although I kinda cheated. I had one character tell another character a story, which is an alternate telling of a Grimm's fairy tale I loved as a kid (and still do, though I'm not quite sure why... I think I just really liked the cartoon of it as a kid, really). But I used up a few pages, and I made it fit in pretty well, so I'm happy.
