HOLY CRAP THEY GAVE ME A LICENSE.
I had to wait for almost an hour when we got to the testing site, because only one person was testing, and I guess usually there are two, so things were a bit behind. So that wasn't nice, just because then you're just sitting there, thinking about the driver's test, and anticipation and stress build up, and yeah.
But then it was my turn finally, and I did pretty well. I messed up on my parallel park. I had the technique right, though, I just ended up way too far from the curb, so I only got five points for that instead of the 15 you get if you mess up totally. And thanks to
darkrunner's advice, I remembered to turn on my signal and look in my blind spot before pulling into the street from the side of the road. Then at one point I had too wide of a turn, so I lost another five points for that. But that's it, so I only got 10 points altogether, and as long as you have under 30 points, you pass. So... yeah. The tester was nice, too. He wasn't, like, overly friendly or anything, but he wasn't a totally RAWR type person, and my main fear was that I would get someone like that, and get stressed because of it, and mess up because of being stressed. But that didn't happen. At the end, he told me that I did well, and to keep up the good work. So yay.
So, all in all, today went very well. And I am so glad it's over with. Oh, and it's nice because relatives are coming over on Sunday, and someone will undoubtedly bring up, "So, when are you getting your license?" And now I can surprise them.
In other news, I have too much fun with origami. I need to find more actual origami paper.
I feel like I had more to say, but I guess not. So I'll leave it at that.
