consequences.

Yesterday morning, as we were on our way out of the house, Celia decided she had to have a yogurt. So she ran to the kitchen and got one. I was so happy that she's older now and can really do these things! Makes one less thing for us to deal with in the morning. And they're in the bottom drawer of the fridge, so she can reach them just fine.

The pride fizzled out after we got home from dinner. I had an acupuncture appointment, and Nathan and Celia had dentist appointments, so they went to 5 guys, and I met them there after I got in the area. They were mostly done, but waited or me to eat. Since we had met there, I got home a few minutes early. The cats were going crazy, and I couldn't figure out why...until I walked into the kitchen. The refridgerator door was WIDE open. Celia didn't close it. She left the drawer open, which kept the fridge from closing. I am so glad I saw this AFTER we ate, because I would have cried. She knew I was upset about it, and we had talked to her several times before about how important it was to close the door to the refridgerator. This time, since it was open all day, everything had to be thrown out (with the exception of a few Gatorades, a salad dressing that was not open, and some juice boxes. She helped empty the whole thing, and will go to the grocery store with me today so we can replace as much as possible.

Needless to say, I hope she learned her lesson. It's nice that she's old enough to help with things. She was really good with helping to throw everything out. It's not really a punnishment, but a consequence of her actions.
