Ladies and Gents, may I present The 1811 Dictionary of the Vulgar Tongue: A dictonary of Buckish Slang, University Wit and Pickpocket Eloquence.

Who could not love a book that includes:-

NONSENSE. Melting butter in a wig

TO MILK THE PIGEON. To endeavour at impossibilities

QUEER AS DICK'S HATBAND. Out of order, without knowing one's disease.

GREEN SICKNESS. The disease of maids occasioned by celibacy. (dude, I think I have that one.)

GAYING INSTRUMENT. The penis.

RAPPER. A swinging great lie.

TYBURN BLOSSOM. A young thief or pickpocket, who in time will ripen into fruit borne by the deadly never-green.

MAWKES. A vulgar slattern.

TRUNDLERS. Peas.
